MBISS Am/Can Ch Tallywood Rainforest Radiant ROMX HIC
(Am/Can Ch Gambit's A Hurricane Brew'n ex Am/Can Ch Tallywood Crossheart Windswept)

Shimmer is bred and co-owned by Nancy Anstruther of Tallywood Collies. She comes from generations of beautiful, well bred, successful dogs. Her sire, Twister, has many California Specialty wins to his credit, as well as an Award of Merit at the 2000 Collie Club of America National Specialty. He also won the 1998 Collie Club of Canada National Specialty. Twister is a great representative of many virtues in the Gambit family of collies.

Shimmer's dam, Tryst, is the number one smooth of all time in Canada as well as number two collie of all time (either variety)! Tryst is a multiple Best in Show bitch, following in the paths of her mother and grandmother, also both Best in Show Collies. Tryst is a spectacular Collie that we have always admired immensely. No words can describe how thrilled we are to own her daughter.

As a puppy Shimmer earned five US points, including one major. In Canada, she earned her Championship, two Best in Specialty Sweeps, a Best Opposite Sex at the Collie Club of BC Specialty and two Best Puppy in Shows (all-breed). By two years of age, she was finishing off her US championship. Not yet three, she won a series of Group placements in Canada.   In her prime, Shimmer won Specialties on both sides of the border, owner-handled, under such respected judges as Tom and Nioma Coen.

As a brood bitch, her contribution to Tallywood and Rainforest has been beyond expectations.   Her children have ranked in the top Collie rankings in Canada and have an incredible list of Specialty wins.    She is the bridge to two more generations of Best in Show Collies for Nancy Anstruther of Tallywood:   Her daughter, Ch Tallywood At First Light and her granddaughter, Ch Tallywood Temperance, both pictured at Tallywood's Website

At Rainforest, her contribution is immeasurable.

Ch Rainforest Pieces of April
(AmCh Southland's Bowen Island x Ch Tallywood At First Light)

April is from our outcross breeding to Bowen Island.    Co-bred with Nancy Anstruther, this breeding has added some beautiful virtues to our Collies.    We've had to be patient with April, and she is just now truly starting to shine, at just over two years of age.    This photo is a picture of April at the 2008 CCA, being shown by Nancy.   We believe that this is a great example of the bridge between the fluffies and the flatties, as shown by the compliments April received at this National from both families of Collies!    Thanks to Nancy for making April look her absolute best that day.

Ch Rainforest Under The Lights HIC
(AmCh Southland's Bowen Island x Ch Tallywood At First Light)

Bauer is also from our Bowen Island outcross.    Bauer finished easily in Canada as a young dog and like his sister, is just now coming into his own.   We love this dog's personality-like his sister, he has a great love of life, as well as a fantastic herding drive.  His first litter produced puppies who also share that great "joie de vivre".

Thanks to Keri Campbell for the ringside shot from the 2008 CCA

Ch Rainforest Exuberant
(AmCan Ch Tallywood Exhilaration x BISS AmCan Ch Tallywood Rainforest Radiant ROMX)

Very much her mother's daughter, Corey has the best virtues of both her parents, with outline, soundness and a beautiful expression. Her sire, Aidan, is out of one of our favourite Tallywood girls-AmCan Ch Tallywood Heart Of The Matter. .   Her pedigree is a double up on a dog which we greatly admire AmCan Ch Gambit A Hurricane Brew'n.

Ch Rainforest Tallywood Nitelight
(Am Ch Gambit's Trick of Light x BISS AmCan Ch Tallywood Rainforest Radiant ROMX)

Sparkle is another one of our Shimmer kids. We love this girl's personality and outline.
